Stroll begins at 5:00 with Lighted Parade at 7:00

Churches, Organizations, Clubs, Businesses, Individuals, show off your creativity by entering the Annual Lighted Parade and/or decorating your storefront.  Parade entries will be judged and prizes awarded as follows: 

1st Place – $100.00               2nd Place – $75.00                3rd Place – $50.00

You will be the judge again this year for the “Best Decorated Business” winner.  As you stroll through the businesses we ask you cast a vote on their decorations by dropping change in the donation container.  The business that collects the most donations will be declared the winnerThe money collected will be donated to the Christmas Hope Chest.

Last year your monetary votes for “Best Decorated Business” raised $400.00 for the Christmas Hope Chest and the Chamber matched the amount and donated $400.00 to the Farmington Food Pantry!

The Farmington Chamber of Commerce will once again make a matching donation to the Farmington Food Pantry.

Fort Street Banking Center Ground Breaking Ceremony

Fort Street Banking Center, a division of Bank of Yates City, hosted a ground breaking ceremony in Farmington on October 11th, 2011.

The new bank will be 4355 square feet.  The bank will have two drive up teller lanes, an ATM and a night drop.

Farmington Rotary Prepares “Rotaters” For 2011 Spoon River Drive

Farmington Rotary members and volunteers pepared 3000 lbs. of potatoes recently.  Look for “Rotaters” which are spiral cut french fries at Reed Park during Spoon River Drive.

New Hospital Clinic In Farmington

Graham Hospital plans to open a new clinic in Farmington.

Ground has been broken as the hospital hopes to locate a four-physician clinic on Fort Steet.
